Singing Heavens is a fulldome clip – produced for The Kepler Project, a 30 minute performance integrating live acting, immersive visuals, and music – which tells the fascinating and moving story of one of the world’s greatest scientific geniuses, Johannes Kepler.

Created by Nina Wise at the Motion Institute and produced in collaboration with the Morrison Planetarium, Cymatrix was asked how to visualize a piece of the music composed by Zoe Keating, in a specific scene at the climax of the play. For this special scene, a solar system fulldome animation software – The Kepler Oscillator – was created, directly to modulate visual animation parameters with real-time audio data of Zoe’s avant Cello play.
