Fair use in FDDB – The Fulldome Database

Though logos, images and videos are subject to copyright, their use is covered by the fair use regulations because:

  • the majority of the material available on the website is provided at low resolution versions of the original products;
  • the material available on this website doesn’t limit the copyright owner’s rights to sell its products in any way, in fact, it may encourage sales.

Credits & Copyrights

We are very concerned about credits and copyrights and make extra efforts to respect property rights. That’s why we also striclty require information about producers to be submitted too, so that full credits can be given.

Video Previews

FDDB web engine is built to bring higher visibility to such entries that feature all information as well as video previews. That’s because such entries are more useful for planetarium managers and maximize the chance to get in touch with the producers.

All video previews listed at FDDB – such as trailers and low resolution full length versions – were provided with permission by their producers.

Both trailers and low-res full length shows are listed at FDDB for preview purposes only and may not be sold, rented nor reproduced by any party. Any unauthorized use of the videos is prohibited by applicable law.
