Grab your tour map and climb aboard our AstroTours bus driven by a slightly wacky tour guide… who really knows his stellar evolution!

This “AstroTours” romp features a brilliant (but simply wacky) tour bus driver who takes the audience on a tour of the “homes” of the stars. A family of “space tourists” asks all the right questions about stellar temperatures, composition, and stellar evolution.

Complete with discussions about supernovae, neutron stars, and black holes.

Our Astrobus guide, Tachyon, drives passengers to nebulae to explain star formation, i.e. star nurseries. Visits to a red dwarf, blue/white giant, red supergiant, and yellow stars include close calls with a stellar flare and a supernova.

Your guide calmly explains that star color indicates star temperatures, and how a supernova can create a neutron star or a black hole!

A visit to an average looking yellow star is complete with a surprise discovery… radio signals are detected coming from the third planet in this star’s solar system. Intelligent life is discovered and passengers reflect that this kind of star is not really average, it is special: it can support life.

Designed for grades 1-6 and for family viewing, excellent for classroom use or as preshows. Also available as interactive exhibit for use in lobbies, exhibit galleries, classrooms.

AstroNotes programs were designed to provide very low cost programs exploring space science at lengths that keep childrens attention.
