Description

Seafaring was once one of the most dangerous adventures. Fear always sails with the seafarers: the fear of falling off the edge of the world!

The earth has an edge. We live on this edge and look out into boundless expanses! Boundless? Is the cosmos really boundless? Has the Universe no edge? Let’s start the search!

Our take-off speed is 300 million times faster than a beam of light! The theater makes it possible! 4,000 times farther away than the galaxy of Andromeda, we detect still more galaxies with our telescope.

The most distant light detected in the infrared region has been on its way to us for over 13 billion years. It shows galaxies in the process of formation—these are primeval gas clouds with young stars in their midst.

The light from the edge of the world comes from the very first stars with no planets. We are looking into the most distant past. The power of imagination is the only suitable means of travel in space. Our brain brings us to the edge of the world with no loss of time. Let’s go there in our imagination!
