Description

Ryan Wyatt and Tim F. Horn from the California Academy of Sciences are giving a talk at the West-Berlin Planetarium later this month: “The Digital Planetarium – Astronomical Visualization in the 21st Century”. From Alpha Centauri to Black Holes, from the Orion nebula to Mars, from the Earth to the edge of the known universe: modern planetariums with their digital systems can access centuries of astronomical discoveries and data. Paired with state-of-the-art, digital projection planetariums deliver stunning views of the cosmos and simultaneously a new perspective on our place in the universe. Recent discoveries add to the portfolio and enable us to take you on an interactive tour through an ever changing and active cosmos.
