Exhibition Live Event

Two days of 360-degree immersive performances in the SAT dome during TodaysArt 2018: Sept. 21-22, The Hague, Netherlands.

Description

From a festival organization to an international platform for trans-disciplinary creativity: ever since the launch of its first edition in 2005, TodaysArt has been bringing artists, thinkers, and audiences together in an ever-changing, yet inspiring setting.

The festival features a series of performances taking place in an immersive 360-degree projection environment installed by SAT (Society for Arts and Technology.) With a diameter of about 15 meters, the dome structure hosts five state-of-the-art immersive live performances developed in SAT’s research program for digital arts.

Performances include the following:

  • Woulg & Push 1 stop – Interpolate
  • Alex Augier & Alba G. Corral – end(O)
  • Fraction, Louis-Philippe St-Arnault & Guillaume Bourassa – Entropia
  • Desaxismundi & Terminal Wolf – Inertia
  • Francisco López

The event will also host a panel discussion exploring the history and contemporary manifestations of the so-called ‘fulldome’. This panel will bring together artists, programmers, and researchers to discuss the creative potentialities of the fulldome.

This project is presented in the framework of We Are Europe in collaboration with Elevate Festival.
