The Western Alliance Conference 2013 is shaping up to be an eventful conference with a field trip to the Powell Observatory in Louisburg, Kansas. This year’s conference will be hosted at Union Station Kansas City, home of the Arvin Gottlieb Planetarium and Kansas City’s science center, Science City. Vendor exhibits will be set up in the 20,000+ sq. ft. Sprint Festival Plaza on the main floor of Union Station. The conference hotel will be the Sheraton Kansas City Hotel at Crown Center. Rooms are only $99 per night and include breakfast. The Gottlieb Planetarium has a large 60′ dome with 154 seats, and is equipped with a 1080p projector pointed at a spherical mirror at the back of the dome. Early registration is open at a discount until July 31st, after which, the registration fee will increase.
