Description

Summary A major global conference exploring the scientific and artistic potential of 360 degree imagery is being held at Plymouth University. Further Detail Time around Space is being hosted by the University’s ICCI (Innovation for the Creative and Cultural Industries), already recognised as a pioneer in the research and application of 360 degree technology, and the Faculty of Arts. With more than 20 international speakers, the conference will address both the current uses of the technology, and how it might be developed in years to come. Building on this experience and the growing interest in 360 degree imagery, immersive technologies, environments and related academic research and investigation, we will be hosting an international conference in Plymouth in June 2013. CCI and Plymouth University have developed extensive knowledge and experience of 360 degree production and immersive exhibition environments, culminating in the spectacular ICCI 360 Arena events as part of the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympic Games Cultural Olympiad. Over 26,000 visitors were enthralled by the amazing mix of creative and cultural events created for our programme including 360 film screening, interactive gaming, performance and community events. Places on the conferences are still available.
