The Planetarium Alto Adige-Südtirol, located in Eggental, northeast from Bolzano, Italy, is recruiting for a planetarium operator to deliver high-level experiences for a variety of audience.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

The candidate should:

• have a broad knowledge of astronomical topics to ensure that the planetarium shows content is up-to-date;
• deliver planetarium shows and other astronomical activities for teacher, public and groups of all ages;
• engage visitors and communicate astronomical concepts accurately;
• carry out projects, tasks and programs such as occasional weekend or evening special events;
• be comfortable with public speaking.

Qualifications

• Minimum Requirements: German native speaker, Italian speaking, master degree in astronomy, astrophysics or natural sciences.
• Preferred: Ability to troubleshoot technical problems and to learn propetary software Digistar 5
