The British Association of Planetaria (BAP) is a friendly group of planetarium professionals and individuals devoted to astronomy and science education.
As an organisation we aim to promote planetaria and improve communication between like-minded people who share interests in science and astronomy.
We meet each year at the BAP conference to learn about the latest developments in the field, to share knowledge/skills and to hold our AGM.
The 2023 Conference of the British Association of Planetaria will be held as an in-person conference over the weekend of the 1st – 2nd September in Armagh, Northern Ireland. The recently upgraded Armagh Planetarium is the UK’s longest running planetarium within an important historic observatory.
If travelling by air, the closest airports are in Belfast and Dublin. (Dublin is in the Republic of Ireland but the border is open.)
