About a week ago we flew to Colorado to attend the 2013 IMERSA Summit in Denver.
The event was great fun and gathered together people coming from different fields and background - digital planetariums, mobile domes, themed entertainment and giant screen theaters - and whose interests are now converging into a whole new Immersive Medium.
Among many great talks that took place during the Summit, Alan Caskey - Americas Sales Director at Global Immersion - presented the results of its company's 2013 Planetarium/Giant Screen market survey.
Their findings come out from a pretty wide sample of the market: 139 planetariums, from 36 different countries, and 45 giant theaters among GSCA members.
The results from both surveys generate valuable insights into the current needs, trends and expectation spanning areas of theater operations, technology, content, and technical performance.
