Showing Recent Satellite Imagery In Your Dome - Video Seminar
Marc Horat, Planetarium Director at the Swiss Museum of Transport (Lucerne, Switzerland) gathered data and imagery from the archives of the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) for a show with live presentation.
This expanded the usual space-related topics to include a focus on Earth centred topics like weather patterns, hurricanes, sea ice and climate change.
Feedback from the audience has been overwhelmingly positive as they simply didn't expect a planetarium to be able to show such data, movies and images that were only available days or even minutes ago.
In this video seminar by the Pacific Planetarium Association, Marc Horat shares his knowledge, workflows and experiences for finding the data, processing it and presenting it in a planetarium.
