This year the Minsk Planetarium (Belarus) for the third time will gather in its starry hall the best fulldome films from all over the world, including popular scientific films, animation for children, short films and art shows.

MIFF 2020, III Minsk International Fulldome Festival, combining art and science, will be held

October 15 - 18, 2020.

We are happy to invite friends and colleagues from different planetariums, film authors and distributors, film studio staff and equipment manufacturers, representatives of the fulldome community and just all fans of fulldome cinema to our dome.

During the four festival days, you can enjoy wonderful educational and experimental films, learn a lot of new and interesting information from the field of astronomy and the fulldome world.

For participants who want to submit their new fulldome works in the MIFF 2020 contests, an online form is already available to fill out. Early registration is appreciated and the number of films from one contestant is unlimited.

Applications are submitted and films are selected free of charge until August 11, 2020. We will announce the list of participants and their films that will be included in the festival program on August 14, 2020.

Please read the MIFF 2020 Regulations and established deadlines:

• Submission’s date of application – August 11, 2020;
• Date of participation confirmation – August 14, 2020;
• Delivery’s date of films – September 15, 2020.

The authors of the 4 best films shown at MIFF 2020 will be presented by an independent jury with deserved awards:

• Prize «For the Best Documentary Fulldome Film»;
• Prize «For the Best Animation Fulldome Film»;
• Prize «For the Best Short Fulldome Film»;
• Prize «For the Best Art Fulldome Film».

And one of the films, which received the highest rating from the audience of the festival, will be awarded the prestigious Audience Award.

MIFF 2020 also provides opportunities for presentations, seminars, exhibitions, lectures and workshops on astronomy and fulldome technology. You can submit an application with your proposals for additional events by September 15, 2020. You will receive confirmation that your event will be included in the MIFF program on September 17, 2020 by e-mail.
