The California Academy of Sciences is a research and education institute, with a world-class museum housing an aquarium, planetarium, rainforest, and natural history museum—all under one living roof.

The Morrison Planetarium opened in 1952, and its legacy continues into the 21st Century with a flexible all-digital system.

The Academy’s Visualization Studio produces fulldome content by tapping into the remarkable resources of the Bay Area: the collective experience of the studio’s staff in the visual effects industry totals more than 120 years, including work at Industrial Light & Magic, Pixar, and Lucasfilm Animation.
